Presently, BAŞKAN GROUP business involves the research-development, production and sales of organic and chemical fertilizers for Turkish Market and International Markets; production, importation, exportation and marketing of industrial and forage crop seeds, chemical and organic plant nutrients, preparation and application of landscape projects for Turkish Markets; importation of chemical feedstock’s and importation-exportation of feedstock’s of metal, iron, steel and foundry.

BAŞKAN GROUP is embraced of four separate entities: ÇİMSAN, TÜRPEX, İZSAN and SIGMA METAL CHEMICALS with over 65 employees.

ÇİMSAN specializes in production, importation and marketing of industrial and forage crop seeds, fertilizers of grass seeds, preparation and application of landscape projects. The company is the leader of canola business in Turkey and meets the majority of domestic growers’ canola seed requirements. ÇİMSAN, which has Agricultural Research Institute Statute, represents the well known partner companies in seed and fertilizer business with a regional distributed network of branch offices and technical advisors. The Andersons which is the biggest fertilizer producer in the world located in USA is being represented by ÇİMSAN. ÇİMSAN is working with Kemira which is a leader fertilizer company in Finland within the framework of distributorship. Deutsche Saatveredelung (DSV) is one of the leading German plant breeding companies is being represented in Turkey holding marketshare of 60 percent. It is being imported and marketed the best quality grass seeds of Feldsaaten Freudenberger. The certification ISO 9001:2000, given by TUV Cert, ensuring that ÇİMSAN meets and exceeds all of our customer needs and future expectations.

TÜRPEX, is one of the biggest organic and chemical fertilizer companies in Turkey, was bought in 2005 by BAŞKAN GROUP. Türpex is focused on the fertilizer business with high technology and high educated employees to produce high quality products for Turkish and international markets. Liquid production raised from 3 000 to 6 000 tons while powder production increased from 7 500 to 25 000 tons per year. New production and storage facility will be established in Antalya Organized Industry Zone. The certification ISO 9001:2000 was given to the company in 2006 by TUV Cert.
